Falcons Bounce Benedictine

LISLE, Ill. – The CUW women's volleyball team stayed in the top-spot in the NACC after a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Friday night.

The Falcons dropped a 52-kill match at Benedictine to prove they belong atop the Conference.

The Blue and White were on fire, as they scored 71.5 of their 101 total points.  The Falcon offense was led by senior Sophia Collins (Lake Mills, Wis.) with 14 kills.  Sophomore, and reigning NACC Offensive Player of the Week, Maycee Karpfinger (Wauwatosa, Wis.) scored 18 of the Falcon points tallying 12 kills, four service aces, and four assist blocks.  

Junior Jenna Chaussee (Chilton, Wis.) posted a season-high 22 dig outing for the Blue and White along with six kills and two aces.

The Falcons led the match with a total of 64 digs and 51 assists.  Leading the Falcon effort in assists was senior Makenzie Vertz (Mukwonago, Wis.) with 27.

The Falcons extend their 13-match winning streak with final set scores of 25-13, 26-28, 25-10, and 25-20.

The Falcons have won six of their last seven matches against the Eagles after Friday's victory.

The Falcons get back to action Saturday in another NACC matchup with Marian for senior night in the R John Buuck Fieldhouse.
