MADISON, Wis. – The CUW women's volleyball team opened NACC play on Wednesday evening at Edgewood. Edgewood defended home court with a 3-2 victory to send CUW to 3-2 on the young season.
The Falcons cruised in the first set with a 25-15 victory.
The Eagles took the lead with a 25-23 victory in set two and a 26-24 victory in set three.
The Falcons did not fold and forced a fifth set with a 25-16 victory.
Edgewood clinched the match with a 17-15 victory in set five.
Freshman Lauren Shroba (Bolingbrook, Ill.) led the flock with 15 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
Junior Sierra Lee (Kenosha, Wis.) secured a team-high 28 assists and senior Madelyn Alton (Farwell, Minn.) led CUW with 20 digs.
CUW returns to action at No. 11 Wisconsin – Whitewater on Saturday.
