Women's Volleyball Dominates Dominican

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons cruised to another three-set victory on Friday night. The Blue and White downed Dominican with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-17 victory to improve to 13-3 and 5-1 in NACC action.

The Falcons never trailed in the first set against the Stars. The Blue and White hit .379 in the set that saw junior Hannah Himmelman (Geneseo, Ill.) land four kills on five attacks.

Senior Madelyn Alton (Farwell, Minn.) recorded her 1000th career dig at the beginning of the second set to become the 10th player in program history to reach that milestone.

The Falcons led the second set wire-to-wire with the biggest lead coming at 16-8 on a sophomore Maycee Karpfinger (Wauwatosa, Wis.) kill. Karpfinger finished the set with four kills, only to be outdone by junior Jenna Chaussee (Chilton, Wis.) with six.

The Blue and White soared out to a commanding 20-5 lead in the third set. The Falcons ballooned the lead behind the serve of senior Makenzie Vertz (Mukwonago, Wis.). Senior McKenna Nigl (Richland Center, Wis.) put the final nail in the coffin to secure the victory.

Maycee Karpfinger led the match with 17 points with a match-high three service aces, 11 kills, and getting her hands on five blocks.

Jenna Chaussee finished with a match-high 14 kills in the victory.

Madelyn Alton collected a match-high 17 digs.

The Falcons will waste no time and host Aurora on Saturday in a battle for the top of the NACC standings.
