Women’s Volleyball Wrecks the Raiders

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's volleyball team finished their NACC regular season off with a three-set sweep of the MSOE Raiders. 

The Falcons never looked back after the first set.  The Falcons came out blazing hot putting up a 25-9 win hitting .500 as a team.  The second set was closer with a final score of 25-21, but the Falcons came from behind in the third to end it in three with a final score of 25-18.

Sophomore Maycee Karpfinger (Wauwatosa, Wis.) had another solid night putting up 13 of the 59 Falcon points with nine kills on 15 attempts hitting .533.  She added two service aces, five digs, and four block assists. 

Senior Madelyn Alton (Farwell, Minn.) put up 12 digs on the outing to help put the Falcons over the top and hold the Raiders to a team .066 hitting average.

Senior Sophia Collins (Lake Mills, Wis.) hit .467 on 15 attempts posting nine kills and three block assists.

With this win, the Falcons secured the second seed in the NACC tournament and a first-round bye.

The Falcons return to the court Saturday against Wisconsin-Stout.
