Women’s Volleyball Blasts Blue Devils 

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's volleyball team played their final regular-season game on Saturday afternoon when they faced off against the Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils. 

The match saw a three-set sweep by the Falcons who put up final scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-14. 

The Falcon offense was humming, totaling 53 kills, six service aces, and 5.0 total blocks on the day. 

Sophomore Maycee Karpfinger (Wauwatosa, Wis.) led the Falcons with 15 kills and 15 digs.  She also added three service aces to her double-double scoring 18 total points. 

Senior McKenna Nigl (Richland Center, Wis.) led the net defense for the Falcons with four assist blocks on the afternoon.  Nigl also added eight kills which tied her for second on the team with junior Hannah Himmelman (Geneseo, Ill.).   

The Falcons extended their home, win-streak to 21 games with the three-set sweep. 

Senior Mackenzie Vertz (Mukwonago, Wis.) snagged 24 assists with junior Sierra Lee (Kenosha, Wis.) recording 17.   

The Falcons look toward their NACC semifinals matchup inside the R. John Buuck on Thursday where they will face the winner between Benedictine and IIT on Tuesday.
