Six Falcons Earn NCHA All-Academic Honors

DULUTH, Minn. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced the members of the 2021-22 women's NCHA All-Academic Team on Tuesday.

The NCHA broke a league record again this season with 242 student-athletes receiving the honor on the men's and women's side. This year, 14 student-athletes received the honor for the third time on the women's side.

In order to qualify for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore status academically and have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.

The senior duo of Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) and Sarah Tretina (Plainfield, Ill.) both claimed the honor for the third time in their careers.

Junior Colleen Gilligan (Colborne, Ont.), senior Lexy Sundal (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and junior Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) all made their second appearance on the NCHA All-Academic Team.

Senior Baileigh Johnson (Neillsville, Wis.) claimed the honor for the first time this season.
