Ellie Tabaka Named Assistant Coach for Hockey and Lacrosse

MEQUON, Wis. – Ellie Tabaka was named the assistant coach for the CUW women's hockey and lacrosse teams on Monday. Tabaka brings an extensive knowledge of hockey and lacrosse to Concordia.

She graduated from Augsburg in 2020 with a degree in graphic design. During her two years at Augsburg, she played two years of hockey, where she competed in the MIAC Championship. She led the team in assists in the 2018-19 season and was named an assistant captain in the 2019-20 season. Tabaka also reached the MWLC Championship with the women's lacrosse team.

Before Augsburg, Tabaka competed at St. Thomas in Minnesota, where she won two MIAC championships and earned two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

She served as the assistant coach for the varsity lacrosse team at Tartan High School.

Tabaka was also the head coach for Visitation in 2021 for its inaugural season.

She is a native of Maplewood, Minnesota and is pursuing her MBA.
