Men’s Hockey travels to face Northland Friday

MCHA Men's Standings

MEQUON, Wis. - After splitting a pair of home games against Finlandia University last weekend, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will hit the road on Friday for two games against MCHA rival Northland College inside the Bay Area Civic Center.

The Falcons and Lumberjacks will drop the puck at 7:05 pm on Friday night, before meeting again on Saturday afternoon at 3:05 pm. Northland will provide live audio coverage for both games.

CUW (2-11-2, 2-7-1 MCHA) competed in a couple of high-scoring affairs against Finlandia at the Ozaukee Ice Center last weekend, defeating the Lions 7-6 on Friday before falling 5-4 on Saturday.

Junior forward Greg Douglas (Plano, Texas) was a key contributor for the Falcons in the two games, registering four points on two goals and two assists.

Freshman Tanner Tryggestad (Amery, Wis.) also had a big weekend, scoring two goals while adding one assist.

Northland (5-8-2, 4-5-1 MCHA) is coming off a pair of victories on the road against Lake Forest last weekend, defeating the Foresters 6-3 on Saturday before winning 4-2 on Sunday.

The Lumberjacks' main offensive weapons are also, arguably, the two most dangerous players in the MCHA.

Senior Colin McIntosh and junior Kraig Wright have combined to score 22 goals and register 60 points through only 15 games, and have been the conference's highest-scoring forwards so far this season.
