Falcon ‘N Focus: Men’s Hockey Season Preview

MEQUON, Wis. - Head coach Tony Hrkac and the Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team begin their fifth season of competition on Friday with a non-conference matchup against UW-Stout at 7 p.m. at the Dunn County Ice Arena.

Fans unable to make it to Menomonie, Wis., can watch the game via video streaming by clicking here, or follow live statistics by clicking here.

The Falcons return a cast of veterans and welcome a slew of freshman looking to improve upon last season, in which they finished the 2010-11 campaign with a 5-4 home victory over Lake Forest College.

CUW's schedule to open the season will be difficult as UW-Stout is receiving votes in the USCHO.com top-15 poll. The Falcons begin their home portion of the schedule against the defending national champions and No. 1-ranked St. Norbert College on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Ozaukee Ice Center. CUW then opens its Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association portion of the schedule with a home-and-home against No. 14 MSOE on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
