Men’s Hockey hits the road to face St. John’s

MEQUON, Wis. - After a two-week-long break away from game action, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will travel to St. Cloud, Minn. this weekend for two games against St. John's University.

The Falcons and Johnnies will do battle at the National Hockey Center at 7 p.m. on Friday night, before taking the ice again on Saturday at 2 p.m.

CUW (1-6-1, 1-4-1 MCHA) is coming off its first victory of the season, when they defeated Lake Forest College 5-2 on November 12th behind a hat-trick performance from sophomore Russell Johnson (Monticello, Minn.).

Johnson, sophomore Shay Klitzke (Annandale, Minn.), and freshman Lukas Allen (Lakeville, Minn.) are tied for the team lead in points with six a piece.

St. John's (2-4-1, 1-3-0 MIAC) is looking to build off a win of its own, after it took down Augsburg College 5-3 last weekend.

The Johnnies are led by forwards John Haeg and Wally Cossette, who have combined for 27 points and a plus-9 rating through seven games this season.
