Men’s Hockey gears up for weekend series with Adrian

MEQUON, Wis. - After a road trip to St. Cloud, Minn. a week ago for two games against St. John's University, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will be in action at home this weekend against MCHA rival Adrian College.

The Falcons (1-7-2, 1-5-1 MCHA) are coming off a 2-2 tie with St. John's last Saturday, and will be hoping to build some momentum against another top-tier opponent.

CUW has gone 1-1-1 in its last three games, defeating Lake Forest College on November 12 before going 0-1-1 against the Johnnies last weekend.

Sophomore Russell Johnson (Monticello, Minn.) leads the team with seven goals and eight points overall, while sophomore Shay Klitzke (Annandale, Minn.) and freshman Lukas Allen (Lakeville, Minn.) have added seven points each.

Adrian (6-3-0, 5-1-0 MCHA) is currently ranked 9th nationally according to USCHO.com, and leads the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association with a +26 goal differential.

The Bulldogs are led by forward Zach Graham, who has scored four goals to go with eight assists.

After winning six of their first seven games, Adrian has dropped its last two, falling to UW-Eau Claire and St. Thomas (Minn.) last weekend.

Friday's game is set to start at 7:30 pm, before Saturday's game begins at 2 pm.
