MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will play its first game on the brand new ice sheet at the Ozaukee Ice Center tonight when they take on Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) at 8 p.m.

For those unable to make it to the game, live play-by-play coverage and live stats will be provided.

The Falcons (1-9-2, 1-6-1 MCHA) are coming off two closely-contested losses to 9th-ranked Adrian College last weekend, and were tied going into the third period of both games before the Bulldogs took control late.

Freshman Morgan Sanchez (Corona, Calif.) was a standout performer against Adrian, scoring two goals and adding one assist over the two-game set. Sophomore Russell Johnson (Monticello, Minn.) also added an unassisted goal on Saturday to take his team-lead in goals to eight.

Gustavus Adolphus (4-4-2, 3-3-0 MIAC) swept a two-game series with Augsburg College last weekend, outscoring the Auggies 10-1 over the pair of games.

The Gusties are led by forward Ross Ring-Jarvi, who has scored four goals to go with seven assists so far this season.

The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free open skate, facility tours and exhibitions featuring Wisconsin figure skating club members and National Ice Dance competitors Christian Erwin and Kenzie Reid of Brookfield. National freestyle competitor Samantha Puhl of Mequon, Wis., will also skate.

Between periods of game, fans can participate in a pair of games -- Chuck a Puck and 5-Hole Skill Shot. The winners will receive prizes and the grand prize for the Chuck a Puck competition will be a Milwaukee Admirals signed jersey by CUW head coach Tony Hrkac and a four-pack of tickets to an Admirals game.

The new facility, with current seating for 1000 spectators (maximum capacity of 1,500 with standing room only), includes locker rooms for the men's and women's team, coach's offices, athletic training room, laundry room, and storage area for both programs. The Falcons shared locker rooms with local high school programs in the past.
