Softball Secures Both NACC Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – For the final time this season, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for softball on Tuesday morning. The Falcons brought home both awards after winning the NACC Tournament title with a perfect 3-0 record. Nicki Becker was voted as the NACC Pitcher of the Week and Gabbi Gaziano was voted the NACC Position Player of the Week by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A senior from Brodhead, Wisconsin, Nicki Becker is claiming the NACC Pitcher of the Week title for the first time this season and for the third time in her career.

Becker posted two saves in the NACC Tournament against Dominican and MSOE. She did not allow a hit in either performance and had a strikeout.

A senior from Beloit, Wisconsin, Gabbi Gaziano is securing the NACC Position Player of the Week honor for the first time in her career.

Gaziano finished the tournament with four hits, with a pair against Aurora and Dominican. She had four RBI, with three against Aurora and she stole a base against the Stars.

The Falcons return to action on Thursday in the NCAA Division III Tournament against Wisconsin-Superior.
