Gina Followell Once Again Claims NACC Honor
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for Softball on Tuesday morning. Gina Followell was voted the NACC Pitcher of the Week by the athletic communication professionals within the league.
A senior from Romeoville, Illinois, Gina Followell is claiming the honor for the second time this season and for the 13th time in her career.
Followell started the week with a victory in the circle over Edgewood where she took a no-hitter performance into the final batter. She finished the game with 11 strikeouts.
Against MSOE, she had 10 strikeouts, with only two hits against in the 2-1 victory.
She then had two strikeouts in her first save of the season in game two against the Raiders.
Followell and the Falcons return to action on Friday at Dominican.
