Softball Secures NFCA Academic Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes and the Easton/NFCA Team GPA awards on Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons boasted the 40th-best grade-point average in NCAA Division III and within the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) at 3.5945.

Concordia Wisconsin also landed 19 All-American Scholar-Athletes in 2023.

The All-American Scholar-Athlete honors recognize the academic prowess of softball student-athletes. Each All-America Scholar-Athlete must have earned a 3.50 grade-point average (GPA) or higher for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Claiming the honor for Concordia Wisconsin is senior Nicki Becker (Brodhead, Wis.), sophomore Amber Behr (Oak Creek, Wis.), sophomore Megan Bloyer (Oregon, Wis.), freshman Grayce Bottlemy (Withee, Wis.), junior Lexi Bridenhagen (Neenah, Wis.), freshman Rylie DuVal (Elgin, Ill.), senior Sydney Erdmann (Geneva, Ill.), sophomore Jasmine Freeze (Bolingbrook, Ill.), senior Gabbi Gaziano (Beloit, Wis.), junior Nicole Grove (Sussex, Wis.), freshman Taylor Jacobson (Kenosha, Wis.), senior Abby Kerrins (Cullom, Ill.), freshman Julia Moker (Hubertus, Wis.), freshman Maggie Plahmer (Slinger, Wis.), sophomore Jess Pozezinski (Lake Villa, Ill.), senior Claudia Utz (Lockport, Ill.), junior Emily Walters (Waupun, Wis.), junior Madi Wheat (Coweta, Okla.) and senior Ashley Zappa (Zion, Ill.).
