Soggy Sunday snaps win streak
MEQUON, Wis. – The seven game win streak came to an end on Sunday for the CUW women's soccer team. Wis.-Whitewater walked away with a 1-0 victory in the rain.
The Falcons were able to get four shots on net. Freshman Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) finished with two. While freshman Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Allison McElwee (Laramie, Wyo.) had one shot each.
Savannah Curtis scored for the Warhawks in the 71st minute.
Junior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) finished with five saves on Sunday.
UWW held a 20-10 shots advantage on Sunday.
The Blue and White look to bounce back on Wednesday against NACC-rival Marian.
