Two Falcons land USC All-Region honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team secured two United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region selections on Monday night. Karoline Haugland and Allison McElwee claimed the 2019 all-region honors.

"This is a great honor for these two," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "Karoline and Allison both had amazing seasons. They both played a key role in the success of our program this year. I am really happy to see these two get recognized nationally."

A freshman from Bergen, Norway, Karoline Haugland is claiming her first all-region honor. Haugland was named to the All-Central Region First Team. Karoline Haugland was second in the nation in goals with 28, second in points with 66 points, fifth in points per game at 3.00 and sixth in goals per game at 1.27. Earlier this year, she was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Year, NACC Freshman of the Year and was an All-NACC First Team honoree.

A junior from Laramie, Wyoming, Allison McElwee is claiming her first USC All-Central Region honor on the third team. The Wyoming native was sixth in the nation with 15 assists and in assists per game at 0.71. McElwee also scored 10 goals, including two game-winning goals. She was also named an All-NACC First Team selection in November.
