MEQUON, Wis. – For the third time this season, the CUW women's soccer team swept the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference weekly awards. The NACC announced Selena Esten as the Offensive Player of the Week and Ashley Yacks the Defensive Player of the Week. The Falcons secured the honor with a 5-3 victory in the NACC Semifinals over Illinois Tech and a 2-1 victory over Dominican in the NACC Finals.

"This is another great honor for these great players," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "I am really proud of everything that the team accomplished, last week. These two played a key role in our success in the NACC Tournament."

A freshman from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Selena Esten is claiming her first NACC weekly honor. Against IIT, Esten scored two goals and two assists, including the assist on the game-winning goal. On Saturday, she scored the first CUW goal and assisted on the game-winning goal.

A senior from Whittier, California, Ashley Yacks is earning the defensive title for the second time this season. She helped anchor a defense that secured two victories to earn the NACC title.

The Falcons open NCAA play on Saturday at Wartburg.
