Women’s Soccer ranked in Division III top 10 in eight statistical categories

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team is ranked in the top 10 in eight statistical categories in NCAA Division III.

Sharing the Love: The Falcons women's soccer team has spread out the ball on offense recording 3.38 assists-per-game.  This is good enough to be the third highest in the nation just behind Hardin-Simmons and Bethel who sit at 3.75.  Junior Allison McElwee (Laramie, Wyo.) leads the Falcons with 1.00 assists-per-game, which notches her at second in the nation while freshmen Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) sit within the top 50 as well. 

Racking up the Points: CUW is not at a lack for scoring recording 12.13 points-per-game, which lifts them to fifth in the nation.  Leading off for CUW, Karoline Haugland has recorded 29 points bringing her to 3.63 per-game.  Haugland currently sits at fifth in the nation in points-per-game.  However, Haugland is not the only Falcon on the national leaderboard.  Allison McElwee and Selena Esten both sit in the top 50 recording 2.25 points-per-game.

Soaring Scoring: The Falcons are no stranger to goals in game.  The Falcons currently sit at fifth in the nation in scoring offense recording 4.38 goals-per-game.  The Falcons are led by Karoline Haugland scoring 1.50 goals-per-game garnering the sixth spot in the nation.

Attacking the Net: We all know that you miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take.  The Falcons currently sit at eighth in the nation in shots-per-game at 24.75.  The Falcons are led in shots by Karoline Haugland and Selena Esten both notching over thirty shots each on the season.

Shoot to Score: CUW is ranked in shots-on-goal in the nation.  The Falcons are currently ranked third in the nation in shots on goal per game.  They have averaged 14.38 shots on goal in their games giving them the best opportunities to score.  The Falcons are led by Selena Esten recording 2.88 shots per game.

A Perfect 10: The Falcons are also ranked 10th in three categories in Total Assists, Total Goals, and Total Points. They have recorded 27 total assists, 35 total goals, and 97 total points in their eight games this season so far.
