Softball Secures 15 Scholar All-American Honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its academic honors on Wednesday morning. The NFCA released its Easton All-American Scholar-Athlete, and team honors for the 2021-22 academic year.
The All-American Scholar-Athlete honors recognize the academic prowess of softball student-athletes. Each All-America Scholar-Athlete must have earned a 3.50 grade-point average (GPA) or higher for the 2021-2022 academic year.
As a team, the Falcons boasted a 3.51 grade-point average, one of 114 NCAA Division III programs to have an accumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better. CUW led the NACC with the highest team grade-point average.
Securing the honors for CUW were senior Nicki Becker (Broadhead, Wis.), senior Kelsey Bollon (Orangeville, Ill.), freshman Amber Behr (Oak Creek, Wis.), freshman Megan Bloyer (Oregon, Wis.), sophomore Lexi Bridenhagen (Neenah, Wis.), senior Krystal Cortes (Aurora, Ill.), junior Sydney Erdmann (Geneva, Ill.), freshman Jasmine Freeze (Bolingbrook, Ill.), junior Gabbi Gaziano (Beloit, Wis.), sophomore Nicole Grove (Sussex, Wis.), sophomore Caitlin Huberty (Coleman, Wis.), junior Abby Kerrins (Cullom, Wis.), sophomore Ashlyn Pagel (Appleton, Wis.), freshman Jess Pozezinski (Lake Villa, Ill.), junior Ashley Zappa (Zion, Ill.).
