Gina Followell Repeats as NACC Pitcher of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. - The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its student-athlete of the week awards on Wednesday. Gina Followell was voted as the NACC Pitcher of the Week for softball by the league's athletic communications professionals.
A senior from Romeoville, Illinois, Followell is claiming the honor for the second-straight week and for the seventh time in her career.
On Thursday, she threw a perfect game against Ripon where she struck out all 15 batters she faced.
She followed that up with a 15-strikeout performance in a victory at No. 12 Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Olivia Hebert of Edgewood was the NACC Position Player of the Week honoree.
Followell and the Falcons will fly south and play in Florida on Saturday.
