Men's Hockey finishes season on Saturday at home

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's men's hockey team concludes the regular season with a home-and-home series against Marian University. The Falcons travel to Fond du Lac, Wis., for a 7 p.m. Friday contest before hosting the Sabres at the Ozaukee Ice Center on Saturday at 7 p.m.

CUW (6-17-0, 6-12-0 MCHA) will honor its three seniors (Bradley Lukasz, Andrew Parrott and Billy Sais) during the first intermission on Saturday. The Falcons six wins in a single season program record, which includes three MCHA series sweeps.

Freshman Devin Stuermer (Milwaukee, Wis.) leads the team with 15 points (eight goals, seven assists), while freshman Eli Riddle (Blissifield, Mich.) has recorded 13 points (one goal, 12 assists). Freshman Lawrence Childs (Silver Springs, Md.) ranks tied for 11th in the nation with two short-handed goals.

MU (12-10-1, 11-7-0 MCHA) has earned a MCHA Tournament spot, as it ranks first in the Northern Division and third overall in the league. The Sabres have won four-consecutive games over the last two weekends by a combined score of 15-5.

Josh Baker ranks third in the MCHA play with a 2.36 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. He has shutout two opponents this season and allowed two or fewer goals in the last four contests. Tyler Klein enters the weekend ranked second in the MCHA with 13 goals in conference play. He has scored five goals in the past three games and has found the back of the net in 12-of-22 games.
