Hughes named MCHA Freshman of the Week

MILWAUKEE – Concordia University Wisconsin forward Chris Hughes was named Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Hughes (Dundee, Mich.) helped the Falcons offense this past weekend score six goals against No. 7/8 Adrian College in a home MCHA series at the Ozaukee Ice Center. He lit the lamp for the only goal Friday and then nearly helped CUW to a huge comeback win on Saturday when he tallied a goal and added an assist in the 6-5 loss.

The MCHA weekly honor is the first of his career and third for the Falcons this season.
