ACHA Hockey Sweeps Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Hockey had a good time at the YMCA of Oshkosh on Saturday with a 3-2 victory to complete the weekend sweep of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The Falcons improved to 9-3-0 on the year and stayed in first place in the NCHL Black Division at 4-0-0.

Senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.) started the Saturday with assists from freshman Mason Musel (Duluth, Minn.) and sophomore Jaxon Hills (Bismarck, N.D.).

The Titans tied the game three minutes later to send the teams into the first intermission tied at one.

The Black and Gold took the lead halfway through the second period.

Senior Brandon Ballweg (Woodbridge, Va.) lit the lamp two minutes later off an assist from freshman Tyler Reinke (Franklin, Wis.).

With 3:33 left in the second period, senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) scored the game-winning goal with Andrew Malek adding the assist.

Sophomore Fred Roufs (Sioux Falls, S.D.) secured 28 saves in the victory.

The Falcons return home on Friday, Nov. 1 for a two-game series against MSU-Denver.
