The Falcons dominated the first period, firing off 25 shots while limiting the Titans to just nine. Concordia took a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes, thanks to a goal by senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.) with 2:27 left in the period. The play was set up by seniors Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) and Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.), culminating in Malek redirecting near the Titan's crease and sneaking past the UWO goaltender.
