
ACHA Hockey Splits the Weekend Against Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA hockey team fell for the first time on the season on Saturday morning. The Badgers of Wisconsin leveled the weekend series with a 6-4 victory.
The Falcons struck first in the second period with a power-play goal from sophomore Jaxon Hill (Bismarck, N.D.) off an assist from senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.).
The Badgers responded with a pair of goals to take the lead.
Freshman Nolan O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.) leveled the game at two on a goal from an assist from freshman Mason Musel (Duluth, Minn.)
After a Wisconsin power play goal, CUW tied the game on the power play.
The Red and White added one more to take a 4-3 lead into the third period.
The Falcons scored their third power-play goal of the day off the stick of senior Steven Delikat (Oak Creek, Wis.) after assists from Jaxon Hill and Garrett Wilderman.
Freshman Tug Staudacher made his collegiate debut on Saturday and finished with 49 saves.
The Falcons are back in action on Oct. 4 at the CUW Showcase.
