MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA battled with the number-one ranked team in the nation once again on Friday night. Lindenwood protected home ice with a 6-3 victory to send the Falcons to 21-10-0 on the year.
The Lions scored three goals in the first and second periods to start the scoring on Friday night.
Junior Dominic Murano (Milwaukee, Wis.) started the scoring on Friday night for CUW with assists to senior Rex Staudacher (Yorkville, Ill.) and sophomore Owen Almburg (Glenview, Ill.).
Murano struck again a minute later on the power play with Rex Staudacher and senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) having the assists.
Sophomore Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) had the final goal of the night off assists from freshman Nolan O'Malley (Chicago, Ill.) and senior Nolan Judge (Glendale, Ariz.).
Junior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) had 40 saves against the Lions.
The Falcons did not allow a power-play goal on three opportunities.
CUW looks to bounce back on Saturday against Maryville.
