No. 1 Lindenwood Rallies to Down ACHA Hockey
OXFORD, Ohio – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA men's hockey team finished up a three-game weekend at the Miami Showcase on Sunday afternoon against the top-ranked Lions of Lindenwood. Lindenwood rallied to win 3-2 to send the Falcons to 21-9 on the year.
The Falcons struck first on Sunday when senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) scored in the first period off assists from senior Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) and senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.).
Lindenwood rallied with two goals in the second period and one more that proved to be the game-winning goal in the third period.
Andrew Malek scored for the Falcons in the third period to cut the deficit in half.
Junior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) battled in the cage and put up a valiant effort against the top-ranked team in ACHA Division II.
These two teams will meet for a third time this year at Lindenwood on Friday.
