CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA men's hockey team added another impressive result to its resume on Saturday. The Falcons sent Maryville to 13-3 with a 3-1 victory on Saturday night.
Sophomore Chuck Emme (Glenville, Ill.) carved apart the Maryville defense in the first period when he cut through the Saints' defense. He finished the play with a shot into the upper corner of the net.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second period.
The Saints tied the game with 8:33 left in the game.
Two minutes later, a two-on-one advantage for Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.) and senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) gave the Falcons a lead again, with Cassel finding the back of the net.
The Falcons sealed the deal with a faceoff victory, and Garrett Wilderman scored off an assist from senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.).
Junior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) was a strong presence in the net on Saturday with 38 saves.
The Saints held a 39-23 advantage in shots on Saturday.
The Falcons close the Missouri road trip on Sunday afternoon against Maryville.
