Falcons Top the Titans on a Rainy Night in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Falcons closed the non-conference portion of the schedule on Tuesday night on a rainy and cold evening in Oshkosh. The Falcons rallied to topple the Titans with a 2-1 victory to improve to 13-3-2 on the year.

The Titans struck first in the 27th minute when they stole the ball and struck from 20 yards away.

The Falcons leveled the match at one in the 51st minute on a corner from sophomore Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.). Rapp was able to find senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) crashing the net and Esten headed the ball in.

Esten struck again 17 minutes later when she scored on a rebound off her penalty kick.

The Titans threatened late and sophomore Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) collected two saves in the final three minutes to preserve the victory.

The Falcons held a 17-11 advantage in shots on Tuesday night. Senior Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) and Selena Esten led the match with six shots each.

This is the fifth time this season and the second-straight match that Selena Esten has scored two goals.

Brooke Braga posted seven saves in the victory.

The Blue and White have now won three of the last four meetings against Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The Falcons close the regular season on Wednesday against the Muskies of Lakeland.
