GAMBIER, Ohio – The CUW women's soccer team picked up its first loss of the 2022 season on Sunday afternoon at Kenyon. The 1-2 loss sends CUW to 3-1-1 on the year and propels Kenyon to 1-2-1 on the young season.
The Owls struck first on Sunday with a pair of goals in the 30th and 63rd minutes.
Senior Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) was fouled in the box and senior Jordan Lafferty (Surprise, Ariz.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with the penalty kick in the 76th minute.
The Owls outshot the Falcons on Sunday, 16-10. Karoline Haugland led the flock with four shots.
Sophomore Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) had seven saves on Sunday.
The Falcons look to bounce back when they open NACC play on Wednesday against Aurora.
