Brooke Braga Brings in NACC Weekly Honors
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday morning. Brooke Braga was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
A sophomore from Belgium, Wisconsin, Brooke Braga is claiming the honor for the first time.
She posted 23 saves as the Falcons posted a 1-1-1 record last week. She notched 12 saves in a 1-1 draw at No. 3 Loras, then posted four stops in a 1-0 shutout victory at Denison before closing out the week with seven saves in a 2-1 loss at Kenyon.
Brooke Bluhm of Wisconsin Lutheran was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week.
Braga and the Falcons open NACC play on Wednesday against Aurora.
