Falcons Defeat Alverno

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team picked up another three points in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Saturday. The Falcons picked up a 6-0 victory to improve to 9-2-2 on the year and 6-1-1 in the NACC.

Senior Jordan Lafferty (Surprise, Ariz.) started the scoring in the 10th minute off assists from senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) and sophomore Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.).

Five minutes later, Selena Esten scored the first of two goals in three minutes with sophomore Sheridan Dorge (Winnipeg, Man.) and Isabella Rapp adding the assists on the respective goals.

Squeezing in between the Esten goals was a goal from senior Isabel Downs (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) from senior Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway).

CUW finished with goals from Sarah Klopp ad Shay Lange in the 26th and 43rd minutes.

The goal for Lange was her first collegiate goal.

Sophomore Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) netted a save in her eighth shutout of the season.

The Falcons look to extend the winning streak on Wednesday against Marian.
