Falcons Lock Up NACC Tournament Spot Against Lakeland

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin locked up one of the last spots in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Tournament with a 7-1 victory over Lakeland and a Concordia Chicago loss against Dominican. Sophomore Autumn Snow (Cedarburg, Wis.) started the scoring in the fifth minute when she scored off a deflection on a corner from junior Sheridan Dorge (Winnipeg, Man.).

Senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) struck on a deflection off a Muskie on a corner kick in the 25th minute from sophomore Shay Lange (Racine, Wis.)

In the 28th minute, junior Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.) found Autumn Snow wide open in front of the net and gave the Falcons a 3-0 lead.

The Muskies responded with their lone goal of the match 50 seconds later.

Junior Carmen Rowe (Copley, Ohio) joined in on the scoring with her first goal of the season in the 34th minute with a shot from outside the 18-yard box off an assist from Isabella Rapp.

The Falcons took the 4-1 lead into halftime and junior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) finished the first frame with one save.

Freshman Lanie Czerkies (Joliet, Ill.) started the second-half scoring with a blast from distance into the upper-left corner off an assist from Autumn Snow.

Isabella Rapp scored in the 60th minute when the Lakeland keeper challenged Sabrina Moore and Moore found Rapp wide open in front of the net.

Freshman Kassi Herrmann (Cologne, Minn.) scored her first collegiate goal after Sabrina Moore charged into the box and found Herrmann in front of the net.

Freshman Kara Claussner (St. Charles, Ill.) collected two saves in the second half.

Sabrina Moore finished with a goal and three assists, the first multi-assist performance in her career.

Wednesday also marked the first multi-point performance for Autumn Snow.

The seven goals are a season-high performance for the Falcons.

The Falcons had a 34-5 advantage in shots on Wednesday. Autumn Snow led the flock with eight shots and five shots on goal.

Concordia Wisconsin finishes the regular season at 6-9-9 and 5-6-2 in NACC play in eighth place at 17 points.

With the victory, the Falcons clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament. The Falcons will travel to Chicago on Sunday to face the regular season champion, Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Tech.
