MSOE struck first in the second period with a goal six minutes into the period.

Two minutes later, freshman Mason Ausmus (Saline, Mich.) stole the puck back for the Falcons, handed it to sophomore Nick Wieben (Mankato, Minn.) and then Ausmus found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal.

The Raiders pushed the lead back to two on a two-on-one breakaway four minutes later.

The Red and White added to the lead with its third power-play goal of the game

Junior Nick Bowlin (Maplewood, Minn.) stole the puck in the offensive zone and found freshman Jaron Ketterman (Palmer, Alaska) charging toward the net and a back-handed shot from Ketterman lit the lamp.

Freshman Dolan Gilbert (South Bend, Ind.) made his first collegiate start on Friday night. He finished the day with 27 shots.

MSOE held a 32-27 advantage in shots on Friday. Nick Wieben led CUW with eight shots.
