RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The CUW men's hockey team traveled to River Falls, Wisconsin to compete in a battle of the Falcons.
The team skated the first two periods to a draw.
The River Falls Falcons netted two goals in the third period to take the 2-0 victory.
Freshman Cole Shane (Park Ridge, Ill.) recorded a 37-save, clean sheet in his 40 minutes between the posts.
Freshman Dain Sardelli (Hebron, N.D.) led the team with four shots on goal.
The Falcons look to bounce back in a rematch on Saturday.
