
Men’s Hockey Ends the Year on a High Note
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's hockey team ended the 2021-22 campaign with a victory.
The Falcons closed the season with a 5-4 victory over Finlandia.
The Blue and White were led in scoring by sophomore Jordan Guiney (Victoria, B.C.) with 17 points on six goals and 11 assists.
Senior Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) had a team-high nine goals on the season.
The Falcons soared in the classroom during the year with 10 NCHA All-Academic selections.
The senior duo of Bryce Fisk (Brown Deer, Wis.) and Salvatore Scalise (Calgary, Alta.) both received the honor for the third time in their careers. Scalise claimed the honor twice at Marian.
Eight Falcons are making their first appearance on the team in sophomore Bryson Cecconi (Powell River, B.C.), junior Michael Fradette (Victoria, B.C.), Jordan Guiney, sophomore Sean Hofstetter (Columbia, Ill.), sophomore Liam McGarva (Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.), sophomore Riley Morgan (Scottsdale, Ariz.), sophomore Jacob Shankar (Johnstown, Ont.) and junior Alex Way (Ottawa, Ont.).
The Falcons return to the ice in October.
