Falcons Finish Series at Marian

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The men's hockey team traveled to Marian on Saturday to finish the weekend series.

The Sabres struck first, netting a power-play goal in the eighth minute.

The Falcons tied the game up with a power-play goal of their own just one minute and eleven seconds later off the stick of sophomore Tyler Pang (Victoria, B.C.).  The goal was assisted by fellow sophomore and native of Victoria, B.C. Jordan Guiney as well as junior Alex Way (Ottawa, Ont.).

The Sabres closed the period with a goal in the 10th minute and went into the intermission with a 2-1 lead.

Marian came out strong after the intermission.  They netted a power-play goal in the fifth minute as well as an even-strength goal in the fifteenth.  They took the 4-1 lead going into the third period.

The Falcons scored one more goal in the 14th minute of the third period to cut the lead to two off the stick of Alex Way.

Way led the Falcons with two total points in the matchup.

Sophomore Riley Morgan (Scottsdale, Ariz.) recorded 34 saves in his 57:40 between the posts.

The Falcons return home on the 26th of November to take on the UW-Stevens Point Pointers inside the Ozaukee Ice Center.
