CUW has a Tough Night at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Falcons fell to 1-4-0 on the year and to 0-2-0 in the NCHA with a 4-1 loss at Trine on Saturday evening.

The Thunder scored twice in the first period to take an early lead.

Trine added another goal on the power play in the second period.

The lone CUW goal came from freshman Joshua Maine (Tecumseh, Ont.) off assists to Alex Way (Ottawa, Ont.) and senior Thomas Dyball (Papillion, Neb.). The goal is the first point for Maine as a Falcon.

Senior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) collected 35 saves.

CUW finished with 20 shots on the night. Senior Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) and sophomore Michael Makarenko (Calgary, Alta.) led CUW with three shots.

CUW looks to get back on track on Friday against Marian.
