Men’s Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The CUW men's basketball team earned the 2019-20 Team Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), which released its eighth annual awards list.

This is the fifth-straight year that the Falcons have landed on the list.

Concordia Wisconsin was one of 309 programs recognized throughout the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA. The award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2019-20 season. Teams must count all the GPAs of all men's student-athletes who competed during the season to be eligible.

About the NABC

Founded in 1927 and located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes.
