Falcons fly past Eagles in second half

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin dominated the final nearly 10 minutes of Saturday's NACC contest by going on a 23-12 scoring run to win its second-straight home game with a 79-59 victory over Edgewood inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was within a few possessions throughout the second half until the Falcons turned it on and pulled away with a 23-12 scoring run over the final eight minutes and 20 seconds. During the scoring spree, junior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.) netted eight points which included a pair of triples.
- Concordia Wisconsin again hammered the paint with 50 in the painted area and shot 55.0 percent for the game. Junior Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) led all scorers with 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while Zietlow netted 18 points. The duo combined for 12 rebounds. Sophomore Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) chipped in 14 points, while senior Olalekan George (Milwaukee, Wis.) and junior Alex Antonie (Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) had eight points apiece.
- The Falcons starting five combined to shoot 26-of-44 (59.1 percent) from the floor.
- Concordia Wisconsin's second-half explosion was due to 65.4 percent shooting from the field.
- Edgewood's Ben Seefeld was limited to half of his season average and scored 11 points. Jake Negus had eight points, seven assists and five rebounds.
