Johnson named NACC Player of the Week

MILWAUKEE -- Concordia Wisconsin's Jordan Johnson was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Player of the Week after the Falcons won the NACC Tournament Championship last week, the league office announced.

Johnson averaged 25.7 points per game in three NACC Tournament victories last week, including a program- and NACC Tournament-record 45 points in the Falcons' 96-83 semifinal win over second-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran. He also averaged 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and a steal per game. Johnson's 45-point outing came on 16-of-26 shooting, including five 3-pointers, to go along with four rebounds, three steals, and two assists. He also had a nine-point, five-rebound game against Illinois Tech in the first round before capping the week with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting with five rebounds and five assists as CUW outlasted fifth-seeded MSOE, 90-85, in overtime to capture the tournament crown.

The conference weekly honor is the third of the season and career for Johnson.
