Starters score in double-figures during Falcons defeat

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Wartburg ended the game on a 10-3 scoring run to earn an 83-73 victory over Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday at the Cruzin' Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After sophomore Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) sank a pair of free throws with 3:32 to play, which put the deficit at 73-70, the Knights went on a 10-3 scoring run to earn the 10-point victory. Down the stretch, the Falcons shot 1-for-7 from the floor.
- There were six scoring ties and five lead changes in the contest and Wartburg shot 54.9 percent compared to Concordia Wisconsin's 45.0 percent. The Falcons struggled at the free throw line, making just 13-of-24 (54.2 percent) and were outrebounded 41-24, but a positive note is they committed just six turnovers.
- All five starters scored in double-figures, led by senior Olalekan George's (Milwaukee, Wis.) career-high-tying 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting (six free throws). Jurss and juniors Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.) and Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) each had 13 points. Sophomore Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) had 11 points. Johnson also had five assists and two steals, while Jurss dished out a game-high nine assists.
- Johson and Jurss were both named to the All-Cruizin' Classic Tournament team.
- Wartburg was led by Broden Coulter's 22 points (six 3-pointers).
