Falcons Finish Weekend Trip At Lindenwood

SAINT CHARLES, Mo. – The Falcons ACHA hockey team finished their weekend trip to Missouri Sunday against the Lindenwood Lions.

The first period saw a 0-0 score with junior Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.) recording 15 saves in the period to fight off the Lion offense. 

The Lions struck first in the second period and went into the first intermission with the 1-0 lead.

The Falcons tied up the game in the seventh minute of the third period on the power-play with a goal from junior Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.).  Freshman Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) and junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) added assists on the goal.

The tie was broken by the Lions eight minutes later with a goal in the last five minutes.

The Falcons fell to the lions by a 2-1 score giving them a 1-2 record on the weekend.

Willy recorded 47 saves on the afternoon bringing his weekend total to 128 total saves.

The Falcons look to bounce back in a pair of conference matchups with the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titans next weekend.
