Falcons Avenge Game One Loss at Maryville

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The CUW ACHA team capitalized on penalties at Maryville on Saturday afternoon in a rematch of Friday's overtime loss.

The Falcons scored first off of a penalty shot by junior Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) after a hooking call in the third minute of the second period.

The second period saw two more Falcon goals. The first came in the fifth minute on the power play off of the stick of sophomore Steven Delikat (Oak Creek, Wis.) with an assist from freshman Nolan Judge (Glendale, Ariz.). The next Falcon goal came seven minutes later from sophomore John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.) with assists from sophomore Dylan Tschabold (Solothurn, Switzerland) and senior Wyatt Wilderman (Bear Dance, Mont.).

The Saints scored with one minute left in the period to bring the lead back down to two.

With the goalie pulled for the Saints, junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) put the game back out of reach of the Saints with a rare assist from the junior goalie Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.).

Willy recorded 37 saves in the outing.

The Falcons turn their eyes toward Lindenwood to finish out their three-game St. Louis trip on Sunday.
