MEQUON, Wis – In Wednesday's matchup, the CUW women's soccer team came up short against the MSOE Raiders, losing 4-0. With this defeat, the Falcons' season record stands at 3-6-2, while their conference record is 2-4-1. Meanwhile, the Raiders now hold a record of 10-1-2, including a 6-1-0 record in conference matches.
The Raiders struck first in the 29th minute, as they got the ball inside the 18-yard following a Falcon defensive mishap to take the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Less than five minutes into the second half's start, MSOE's sharp passing earned them the 2-0 lead.
Eight minutes later, the Raiders extended the lead to 3-0. The final Raider goal came in the 88th minute as they enjoyed the 4-0 win.
Junior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) recorded nine saves, while senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) and sophomore Shay Lange (Racine, Wis.) both registered shots on goal.
The Falcons will remain at Fitting Field and strive to get back on the winning track this Saturday when they face the Edgewood College Eagles, with the game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
