CUW Lands 12 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections

MEQUON, Wis. – The College Sports Communicators, released the Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams on Tuesday. The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Concordia Wisconsin secured six nominations on both teams. The 12 nominees are a school record.

Senior Andy Ellingham, sophomore Tate Miller and sophomore Parker Pearson of the men's volleyball program were on the Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team. Senior Jonathan Pullen of the wrestling program, senior Trenton Sherman of the men's golf program and sophomore Oliver Roa of the men's lacrosse program.

Securing a spot on the Academic All-District Women's At-Large was senior Anna Gong of the women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams, senior Sophia Vandeloecht of the field hockey team, sophomore Katelyn Cardinale of the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams, senior Rebecca Curley of the women's golf program, senior Eliana Fuchs of the women's lacrosse program and junior Kami McCardle of the women's hockey and women's lacrosse programs.

The trio of Andy Ellingham, Eliana Fuchs and Anna Gong are all making their second consecutive appearance. Ellingham was a 2023 CSC Men's At-Large  Academic All-America Second Team selection.

Concordia Wisconsin had four student-athletes advance to the national ballot in Jonathan Pullen, Anna Gong, Eliana Fuchs and Sophia Vandeloecht.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The Men's At-Large Academic All-America Teams® will be announced on Wednesday, July 17.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
