Women's Soccer Rallies to Tie at Aurora

MONTGOMERY, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team rallied to pick up a key point in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) standings. The Falcons picked up a 3-3 tie to move to 1-3-2 on the year and 0-1-1 in the NACC.

The Spartans struck first on Saturday with a pair of goals in the first eight minutes.

Senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a goal in the 11th minute off an assist from senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.).

The Spartans scored again in the 33rd minute to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.

Sophomore Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.) leveled the match at three with a pair of goals 94 seconds apart in the 61st and 62nd minutes. Selena Esten added an assist on the game-tying goal.

Junior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) kept the Black and Blue out of the net the rest of the afternoon to claim the point.

Aurora held a 14-12 advantage in shots on Saturday. Selena Esten led the attack with six shots and four on goal.

The Falcons return home on Wednesday in the NACC home opener against Wisconsin Lutheran.
