Brooke Braga Voted as NACC Defensive Player of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced the first weekly honors of the year on Wednesday morning. Brooke Braga was voted the NACC Defensive Player of the Week by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A junior from Belgium, Wisconsin, Brooke Braga is claiming the honor for the first time this season and for the fourth time in her career.

The Wisconsin native posted a shutout in the season opener in a 1-0 victory at Lawrence with eight saves.

She then added five more saves in a 1-1 tie at Lake Forest.

Lucy Vanveldhuisen of Illinois Tech was voted the NACC Offensive Player of the Week.

Braga and the Falcons return to play on Wednesday against No. 13 Wisconsin-La Crosse.
