Falcons Stopped in Chicago

CHICAGO – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team fell in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Saturday night in a rematch of the 2022 NACC Tournament Finals. This time, the Scarlet Hawks walked away with a 3-1 victory.

Illinois Tech took a 2-0 lead into halftime with a pair of goals.

The Falcons continued to fight the entire night and scored in the 87th minute.  Junior Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.) charged at the ball and sprung it to senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) who snuck the ball past the keeper.

The Scarlet Hawks cooled the comeback effort with a goal 48 seconds later to secure the victory.

Junior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) finished with seven saves.

Illinois Tech held a 23-5 advantage in shots on Saturday night.

Sabrina Moore finished with three of the five CUW shots.

The loss sends Concordia to 3-5-2 on the year and 2-3-1 in the NACC.

The Falcons look to bounce back on Wednesday against MSOE.
